Welcome to the April issue of YOGA Magazine. This month we report on Zen yoga, an ancient technique that originates from Zen monasteries, and like other branches of yoga, it emphasises the importance of correct physical alignment, sequences and movements to release energy and develop non-judgemental present-moment awareness. And there are some wonderful Zen yoga postures to try at home. Kirsty Norton provides some excellent tips for yoga teachers to help avoid burnout during their teaching routines, and we also look at the power of personal transformation that comes from within. We also talk to the model and businesswoman Sophie Anderton about her yoga and fitness routines, and in her last article on mantras, Swami Kailasananda from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre guides us through a range of ancient Vedic mantras that can be used to attain self-realisation. This month’s guest Katie Leach, talks us through Natrajasana (Lying Down Twist), Ardha Matsyendrasana (Half Lord of the Fishes pose) and Pindasana
